After losing 5 of 6 the Pirates have won back-to-back games over Atlanta and I'll call for them to get out the brooms and sweep the Braves in the finale this afternoon. Atlanta is not playing well at all right now, as they have last 5 straight. Braves are really struggling to score run. In their last 7 games they are averaging just 2.1 runs/game, well below their season average of 4.0.
I don't see the Braves' offense getting on track in this one. Pittsburgh will be sending out Jeff Locke, who has a 3.17 ERA in 8 home starts, 6 of which the Pirates have went on to win. Locke also comes in dealing with a 2.25 ERA over his last 3 starts.
Pirates have gone a perfect 10-0 in home day games this season, 11-0 in their last 11 home games against the NL East and 14-2 in their last 16 after 5 or more consecutive home games. Take Pittsburgh!
